An Algorithmic Gaze
An artistic exploration of the human body, seen through the eyes of Artificial Intelligence. A series of uncanny algorithmically generated visual manifestation, animated videos and digital prints.
Having been trained upon an extensive dataset of tens of thousands of images, the algorithm creates its own unique machine-generated view of the human body. Sex, identity, and race blur within the mind of the machine, where human bodies are generated in an infinite flux.
The human body reimagined by the algorithmic gaze sheds light on existing biases in contemporary human datasets, where it becomes evident who is represented, who is misrepresented, and who is left out. All are expressed by the unique visuals generated by the work, as the algorithm explores new ways of queering the human body.
