ARTIFICIAL MIND

Celestis Obscura
Interactive art work linking the historic gold rush to the commercial space race
Drawing parallels between the historic gold rush and today’s commercial space race, Falkenstrøm’s artwork investigates the hidden power structures shaping asteroid mining and lunar exploration. As private corporations push toward extracting cosmic resources, the work asks: Who owns the resources of space? Which power dynamics determine who is allowed to exploit them?By merging artificial intelligence with real cosmic data, the artwork questions whether the economic inequalities of Earth are poised to be reproduced across the solar system.
